Full Mouth Dental Implants

Do you have missing or damaged teeth? If so, you may experience issues with biting, chewing and even talking! Tooth loss and severe tooth damage may contribute to other health problems too, such as headaches and even muscle pain. And your face could even change shape! You may need to replace any missing or damaged teeth. For many patients, dental implants are the solution.

What are dental implants?

Implants are really “man-made tooth roots,” which our dentists can build upon to replace any missing teeth. In this procedure, a small titanium shaft is surgically implanted into the bone. The bone then grows around the shaft to form a solid connection. This slows or halts bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is lost. Once the implant is firmly set in the mouth, our dentists will attach the high-quality replacement tooth to its artificial or “man-made” root. Our Dental Implants are a permanent solution that won’t negatively impact surrounding teeth.

BENEFITS OF IMPLANTS

Missing teeth hurt your quality of life and hurts your self-confidence. Dental implants will help you regain both. Implants will also preserve bone and prevent further deterioration of your teeth, as well as improve your facial appearance. Implants are truly an attractive choice for tooth replacement:

Implants are permanent

Unlike traditional dentures that must be removed to eat certain foods or to sleep, implants are permanently affixed to your jaw bone.

Implants are natural looking

People won’t even know that you have dental implants, unless you tell them. Implants look and feel just like your natural teeth.

Implants reduce stress on your remaining natural teeth

Implants don’t require any support from adjacent teeth, which means they won’t wear down other teeth or place additional stress on them.

Implants are easy to maintain

No messy adhesives or metal clasps are required with your new Implants from Bartram Dental. Simply brush and floss every day, and see our dentists for regular checkups.

Implants are better than extraction

Although implants may initially be more expensive than tooth extraction, in the long-term they are a healthier, more cost-effective choice. If you remove a damaged tooth and do not replace it, the bone surrounding the empty space will deteriorate over time. It also leaves the adjacent teeth more susceptible to decay and injury. Bartram Dental never recommends removing a tooth without replacing it.

With dental implants, you can go back to eating the foods you love and smile with confidence once again.

TYPES OF DENTAL IMPLANTS OFFERED AT BARTRAM DENTAL

Whether you need to replace one tooth, several or a full set of teeth, we offer several dental implant solutions.

Single Tooth Implants at Bartram Dental

The loss of even a single tooth can dramatically affect your oral health. That’s why it’s important to replace any missing teeth. Although some patients may opt for a conventional bridge, a single tooth implant may be a better choice. With an implant, the adjacent teeth are preserved and the prognosis for long-term stability is better. In some cases, the implant may even be placed immediately after extraction, if the removed tooth is not infected.

Are you a candidate for implants?

For an effective, long-term solution for damaged or missing teeth, nothing compares to dental implants. Not all patients, however, are ideal candidates for implants. In general, you must meet the following conditions:

• Healthy Gums
• Sufficient Bone to Anchor the Implant(s)
• Good Oral Health Habits

Heavy smokers, those who suffer from chronic diseases (diabetes, hemophilia, immune deficiencies, etc.), and people with a history of grinding their teeth, generally do not qualify for implants. To find out if you are a good candidate for dental implants, schedule an appointment with our office. After your no-charge evaluation, we’ll discuss your options and create a treatment plan that will help you achieve a healthier, more confident smile.
